Married Reidun, easter 2004, became a sailboat owner the same year. Stian and Reidun moved into the boat after it was bought, and have lived in it ever since.
Stian works for Rolls-Royce Marine in Brattvåg, and has been given one year's leave of absence for his langtur-plans. Perhaps there will be opportunities to take on an occasional assignment as we are on the move? Plenty of boats in need of overhauls or a check of their winch engines.
When he is not travelling for Rolls, Stian is both high and low. Litterally that is.. Climbing the mountains and gliding down with the paraglider, or putting on his wetsuit for a swim. Stian is quick to change Elia's diapers when the smell calls for it, and brings him pretty much everywhere. To the shore or up in the mast, but what Elia likes best of all is to work and tamper with just about everything with Stian, especially the watermaker!
Stian gets seasick. But the eagerness for a long sail on the oceans still beats staying home by a long shot. Then sailing it is!
